- Tropical Storm Alberto began moving away from the Southeast coast overnight.

- The depression is forecast to strengthen into Tropical Storm Bud later today and could become a hurricane by Tuesday night or Wednesday.

- A turn to the northwest and eventually north is projected during the first half of the week.

- This system could threaten the central Mexico coast late in the week.
